Two CAC Staff-members will be acting up with Temple Civic Theatre this summer, as they rehearse for the TCT summer musical. Playing members of the royal harem in the Rodgers & Hammerstein musical The King and I , Regina & Kristen admit that all that bowing and scraping is for the birds. Regina says, "I can't think of a single man anywhere on this entire planet worth all of that obeisance." They assure this writer that they are having a terrific time working with fellow cast members and production staff and that the kids are going to steal the show.

The King and I is the final production in Temple Civic Theatre's 2005-06 Main Series season. The musical's production staff includes Tim Campbell, director; Mac Lower, technical director; David Perez-Guerra, musical director and Dr. Sarah Nell Summers, vocal director. The production will be performed in the Temple College Auditorium, with production dates of July 28-30 and August 3-6, 2006.

Temple Civic Theatre has announced their 2006-2007 season line-up. The main series will feature three musical productions and three plays. The musicals include Sweet Charity, She Loves Me and Rodgers & Hart: A Celebration. The plays are A Streetcar Named Desire, Under the Yum Yum Tree and I Hate Hamlet. The youth season will again feature two productions: Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp in October 2006 and Red vs. The Wolf in January 2007.

We'll post more information (and maybe some pics of our gals in action!) as the summer progresses.
