News, happenings, and feedback from the Staff at the Cultural Activities Center in Temple, Texas.

Good morning! Lots of fun stuff over the weekend - more to come, but check out some of the pictures below!

Friday evening, we had a small, but enthusiastic group of youngsters in Strasburger Hall to enjoy the antics of "The Singing Zoologist" Lucas Miller. The event included a pre-show "Habitat Hangout" with a build-your-own Cracker Bar; complete with lemonade. A big thanks to our business supporters, H.E.B and Wal-Mart!

Scholastic Books donated a great assortment of animal books that we raffled off - the kids were THRILLED at the books and it really made the event fun. The smaller crowd meant that almost all of the kids went home with a new book.

Lucas Miller was, of course, very funny and the kids enjoyed his songs and stories.
