"I'm not a mouse! I'm a mongoose!" - Riki Tiki Tavi

Where can you find monkeys, rock pythons, wolves, a panther, a bear, a man-cub and, of course, a tiger named Shere Khan? At the CAC during Missoula Children's Theatre Week!

More than 50 kids came to the Azalee Marshall CAC on Monday morning for auditions for the Missoula Children's Theatre presentation of Jungle Book. For five intense days, these kids learned lines, songs, movements and blocking. It was so fun to be in the building because you might be greeted by dancing monkeys on your way to the coffee pot or howling wolves or ...gulp... Shere Khan passing by the auditorium.

After a week of work, the kids put on two shows on Saturday, as a part of the 2006-2007 Family Fun Series. I think everyone in attendance at the shows would agree that the show was a hit!

A big thanks to the Tour Directors, Lucas (also playing Baloo) and D'Andre. It was lots of fun, guys! See you next summer!

I will post pictures from the week tomorrow (Wednesday).
